How to make a series of holes at the same distance. Simple attachment for drilling machine

Greetings.

Pinterest (pinterest.ru) is a unique resource where you can find many ideas, and I decided to implement one of these ideas for my drilling machine.

Above, in the support bar of the table for the drilling machine, a T-shaped groove is made, in which a bar with a stop is installed. This block is movable, it can be positioned at the desired distance from the drill, and the stop can be placed closer to or further from the support block.

In order to drill a row of holes with a given pitch, you first need to mark two holes, drill the first one and adjust the drilling pitch along it.

Then you can drill the entire row of holes step by step.

You can also use a drill of a different diameter and adjust the drilling step from the edge of the workpiece.

You can drill using the same stop.

The result is a series of holes at the same distance from each other.

For additional verification, I moved the stop to the right so that the drill goes straight into the second hole. With an increase in the pitch, the drill also fell into the already drilled holes, which indicates good accuracy.

I used these perforated blocks to place the tool in the workshop so that it was always at hand when working. (scroll through the gallery)
