A simple addition to a homemade tenon cutter that makes setup a lot easier
Greetings.
In a recent publication, I talked about the device of a homemade tenon cutter and gave drawings for its manufacture.
For those who missed the link will be at the end of the article.
Here I propose to look at a small addition for this tenon cutter, which helps to fine-tune the part just by the marked center of the tenon or groove.
It is a strip of plexiglass screwed to plywood. A guide pin is made at the base, with which the device is installed on the template.
When installed on the template, the self-tapping screw, which is installed on the edge of this device, is exactly in the center of the template.
In detail, it is enough to mark the centers of future spikes or grooves and you can proceed.
In the future, the parts prepared in this way can be conveniently and quickly assembled.
For clarity, I suggest watching a video clip.
And here this is a link to the previous article, where you can download tenon cut drawings.
Thanks for reading. I would be glad to have your support in the form of a like and a subscription to the channel. And see other publications on the channel.
Alexander.
P.S. I also invite you to your site.
