Why don't I leave my cell phone charger plugged in?

Hello dear guests and subscribers of my channel. Please tell me how often do you charge your electronic gadgets such as phones? I'm sure most of you plug it in at least once a day.

Tell me, then do you unplug the charger from the outlet or leave it there? In this post, I will explain why I never leave the charger plugged in.

Why don't I leave my cell phone charger plugged in?

Not for the sake of economy, but for safety

Of course, I pull out the charger immediately after the phone is charged, not because I feel sorry for these crumbs of energy that the charger will consume at idle speed. Yes, a charger can “burn up” about one kilowatt of electricity in a year.

And it all comes down to the fact that I am worried about the safety of both my loved ones and the safety of my house.

Modern total economy is the enemy of reliability

If we look at an old charger, assembled on a real "iron" transformer, then such a charge could not be removed from the sockets for decades and nothing terrible would be was happening.

But in modern chargers, a mains voltage converter is placed in front of a miniature ferrite transformer into high-frequency pulses. The composition of such a converter includes various elements, including capacitors.

And the trouble lies in the fact that now they (capacitors) have become simply catastrophically low quality and quite often fail.

And the fact is that they can cause a fire in the charging itself, the body of which (especially in cheap samples) is made of perfectly burning plastic.

Of course, most high-quality (branded) chargers are made from normal and reliable components, but tell me, please, are you sure that you purchased not a fake?

Take care of children and pets

I also have another compelling argument in favor of constantly pulling the charger out of the sockets and putting them away in a hard-to-reach place.

I have a little daughter growing up, who is now at such an age that she needs to touch everything with her hands and test for strength. And the charging sticking out of the outlet will be for her like a frank call to action.

And okay if she just pulls it out, and what will happen if she starts to pull the cord and thus break the case. I do not regret charging at all, but the very thought that a child may fall under mains voltage due to a broken charging haunts.

Also, if you have a curious cat (or dog), then she can taste the cord. I think that it is not worth repeating that a device with faulty insulation can cause both fire and electrical injury.

Already these listed arguments are enough for me to always take out the charger and put it in a special box. What do you personally do? Write in the comments.

Also thanks for subscribing and like! Take care of yourself and your loved ones!
