It happens that the ball chews up the seal on the thread if it gets inside.

If the tap flows all the way after closing, you can try to develop it, but if the water still goes, it is better to think about replacing it, sincethere is no point in repairing wounds with a damaged fluoroplastic insert. I think so.

In order for a household tap to serve for a long time, you should not open it partially, but always completely. In the open position, the ball does not serve as an obstacle for the flow of water, does not slow it down, and this does not allow fine suspensions or salts to harm it.

However, even a fully open tap is recommended to be closed and opened once or twice every few months in order to ensure excellent mobility of the mechanism for years.
