Examples of bathrooms decorated with pebbles

The pebble mosaic surface on the walls and floor of the bathroom will give it a beautiful and exclusive look. This is hardly a common technique among masters, since this work takes a very long time. But if you are in no hurry, then you can do the pebble decor of a part of the wall yourself:

This decor is done like this: tiles are laid with edges cut in advance by a wave. And then the pebble mosaic is laid, the empty space is filled. In this mosaic, it is important to choose the same color, geometry and size of pebbles. Therefore, it is better to purchase pebbles calibrated in color and shape. There are proposals in every major city.

Then the voids between the stones are filled with grout for tile joints. From the stones themselves, the grout is washed off immediately with a wet sponge, otherwise it will remain after setting.

Flat pebble prices are for sale. The price is not that high. One bag is enough to decorate the inserts in the bathroom.

You can decorate not only part of the wall, but the entire wall, or even all the walls. Yes, this is a long process. I laid out 1 m2 brickwork with pebbles above the stove in the bath - I spent three evenings. How much you can spend on this decor is hard to say. Probably weeks.

The pebble surface is coated with polyurethane varnish to obtain the "wet stone" effect. This decor, in spite of its exclusivity, is not so expensive if you do everything yourself.

In some cities, pebble tiles (made using washed concrete technology) are sold. It also looks good and unusual. But the seams are more clearly visible, emphasizing that this is still a tile. But to glue faster than each stone separately. To trim tiles you need a grinder, a tile cutting machine will not work.

The pebble floors in the shower room also look beautiful. The stones are laid on ordinary tile glue, the voids between the stones are filled with grout. Then the surface also needs to be covered with wear-resistant polyurethane varnish.

The surface in the shower will not be as slippery as the tiles and even with orthopedic foot massage. If you do not want to lay each pebble, then you can purchase mats with pebbles as in the second slide. But they do not have such a beautiful appearance and a high price. You can stick the pebbles onto the paint net yourself in a relaxed atmosphere. And then apply them in work: transfer to the master or do it yourself.

An example of a bathroom decor made almost entirely of pebble. Very beautiful, high quality and probably long work. Please note that stones of different colors alternate in a certain sequence. The result is a harmonious, not chaotic color of the wall surface.
