Folding chairs and stools made of plywood for a summer residence with your own hands

Sometimes plywood sheets are left from construction work. I came across examples of designer products that require a few small pieces of plywood to make.

This exclusive armchair is hand cut from 18-20 mm plywood. An ordinary jigsaw can also cope, but with the subsequent processing of the edge. Alternatively, you can glue thinner plywood sheets together. These designer chairs are comfortable in that they fold in and out for the winter. Or they get it when guests arrive.

On avito, such chairs are sold from 3,500 rubles.

If there is no possibility and desire to cut, then there is always an option to order cutting on a CNC machine or on a CNC laser cutting. How much it will cost - you need to find out. No drawings of the chair could be found. But, you see, the design is interesting. It is better to choose ordinary plywood - then cover it with stain and varnish. On the laminated plywood there are visible technological marks (mesh) and it also needs to be covered with something.

Another version of a transforming chair that can be easily folded and removed if necessary. I think that threaded rods for connection (as in the photo) are not reliable. Better to replace them with door hinges.

You can add a soft seat and backrest (foam + furniture fabric). I also give a schematic drawing with dimensions for this folding chair made of plywood.

The next, even simpler option is a collapsible plywood stool, consisting of three parts and a diagram with the dimensions of a stool from an old magazine of the "Modelist-Constructor" type.
