How to feed petunias in the seedling stage, when to dive and feed

I sow petunias in February-March. I sow different varieties, multi-flowered, terry. The seeds were coated and ordinary.

Each variety has its own development. I spread the pelleted seeds at a distance of 2 cm from each other, so that it is convenient to loosen and huddle the seedlings. In this case, the plants will not stretch and collapse. I sow in rows, this makes it easy to care for the petunia.

Loosening the soil helps to saturate it with oxygen, which improves the development of the root system.

When to pick

I dive petunia in the presence of 2-3 true leaves. I take 100 ml plastic cups and place them in a container.

Priming

I sowed seeds in store soil. I make a dive into a self-prepared soil, which consists of four parts of sod land, four parts of store land, one part of vermicompost, one part of sand.

I make a depression in the glass and carefully transfer the seedlings from the common container, digging in with a fork. I poke it with earth and press down the plant. Then I slightly moisten with water. In order for the seedlings to take root better, you can water it with a solution of "Kornevin" (1 gram of substance per 1 liter of water), 1-2 teaspoons. Also, the mixture helps to take root quickly.

Top dressing

After picking (after 7-10 days), you need to feed the petunias with monopotassium phosphate fertilizer (I take 20 gram sachets). You need to take 1 gram of the substance per 1 liter of water. It is required to pour 1-1.5 teaspoon under each plant.

This dressing helps to strengthen the root system. When petunia has 4-5 true leaves, I add calcium nitrate. Fertilizer contributes to the formation of green mass.

You need to take 1 gram of calcium nitrate per 1 liter of water. Drizzle 1 tablespoon at the root. The soil must be pre-moistened. Fertilizer does not need to be watered on the leaves.

The next feeding is carried out in the presence of 6-7 leaves with any universal fertilizer with the NPK formula 20:20:20 or 18:18:18, for example, Fertika plus. It is necessary to measure 1 gram of the substance per 1 liter of water and pour 1-2 teaspoons over the moistened earth.

Petunia should be fed with universal fertilizer every 7-10 days.

If petunia froze in growth

In case of poor development of sprouts, succinic acid can be used. Dilute 0.5 gram of substance per 1 liter of water. Plants must be watered at the root. The solution will stimulate the growth of the root system.

When transferring from a smaller container to a large container, the development of the aboveground part slows down, the root system begins to grow, which strengthens the plant.
