Cooling the premises in the house in the heat, in the summer season is an element of comfort. It is good when the house is made of stone with good heat saving: it is cool in summer, warm in winter. And if the house is hot in summer? You can't put an air conditioner in every room. Are there any noteworthy economical installation options that allow you to cool the air in 1-2 or more rooms?

Let's look at the principle of air cooling using the example of a soil conditioner or heat exchanger:

The system consists of PVC pipes for external sewerage, laid in the ground below 1 m. From one end, air enters the underground collector, and from the other, through a fan, it enters the house. According to experience and calculations, 5 m pipes cool the air by 1 g. Those. to cool the air from +35 to + 25g. at least 50 m of pipes must be laid underground. And you need to create a slope, a drain for condensate. As a rule, this is a separate vertical pipe, branching from the lowest point of the system.

The air intake should be filtered and located in the shade, under a tree, for example.

The scheme of such an installation and its approximate cost. Due to the long length of pipes and earthworks, the cost is high. It is more economically profitable to purchase 2-3 air conditioners for this money. But there are ways how to reduce the cost of this system. The following diagram:

Bunker heat exchanger diagram. You don't need so many plastic pipes here. A well is dug with a depth of 2-3 m, 2 concrete rings for the sewage system are installed, pipes are laid to the air inlet and outlet. And it is filled with large clean stones: river boulders, large pebbles. They will act as a heat accumulator. The cost is about a third less, but still too high. If only you will get the stones for free, if you manure them yourself.

It is possible to reduce the cost of the system only if you are already digging a trench. For example, for entering a cable into a house or for entering water supply from a well. And then you can drill holes in a trench and mount a heat exchanger from a HDPE pipe:

But then you can count and think about a ground-water heat pump for heating. Or another option: wrap the concrete caisson of the well with a HDPE pipe, if it is made of concrete rings. Then you don't need to drill anything. And along with the water inlet, start a pipe for ventilation. We save on earthworks. And the HDPE pipe is no longer as expensive as a sewer pipe. But due to the greater thickness of the walls and the smaller section, it will require at least 100 m.

The cost of a 63 mm HDPE pipe is about 100 rubles / m. This system will have a cost of ~ 10 thousand. rub. Not bad anymore.
