Spathiphyllum only produces leaves and does not bloom? I am telling you how easy it is to make a beautiful flower bloom
Spathiphyllum I have appeared for a very long time. It's no secret that this plant is popularly referred to as female happiness. And I was very alarmed by the fact that women's happiness does not bloom in my house. The leaves grow normally, there seem to be no signs that the plant is sick, but there are still no flowers.
By the way, female happiness in the literal sense was not deprived. And the husband is loving, and the children are growing. I understood that all this was superstition. But there are no flowers, but I really wanted my plant to release white sails, because this is how spathiphyllum flowers look like.
Once again, my plant looked healthy. From experienced florists who have been growing this plant for a long time, I learned how to properly care for the plant and, of course, followed all the rules. So the green mass was attractive, there were no signs of internal diseases or pests on the leaves.
But I already had experience with shock therapy, thanks to which many of my plants began to release buds. So I decided to experiment with female happiness. I share the results of my experience.
How to conduct shock therapy for spathiphyllum at home
· Check how dry the soil in the pot is. It should be half dry, but not less. This is necessary in order to avoid root decay.
· Send female happiness to a place with air temperature lowered to 12 degrees for 14 days.
· Do not water the plant during this period and do not feed anything.
· After 2 weeks, the flower should be returned to its original place and watered.
· You also need to apply a small amount of fertilizers containing nitrogen and potassium at this time.
After such shock therapy, your plant will bloom as well as mine. But there are also such cases that nitrogen fertilizers in the soil, on the contrary, are in excess.
And from this, spathiphyllum is actively growing leaves. In this case, you need to stop applying these fertilizers, otherwise you will not get the buds.
After stopping the application of nitrogen fertilization, you need to wait 4 weeks, and then apply potassium-phosphorus fertilizer.
Another reason why buds do not appear is thickened plantings, so such overgrown bushes need to be planted.
Do this in the spring, so the plant will hurt less. At the same time, the roots are unwound. You need to transplant very carefully, the plant is very sensitive.
