How to remove dark seams on a Styrofoam ceiling tile: seamless tile
A quick way to finish the ceiling is with a foam ceiling tile. This is the most popular finishing method. Without special skills, tiles can be glued with your own hands. You can even do this alone.
Most often, you can find square tiles in the store. But there are also rectangular ones. The tile also differs in material. Gluing tiles is done in the same way in different ways.
Someone finds the middle of the ceiling and glues the tiles in the center, and then glues others. Some are glued from the corner in rows or with a shift. There is also a diagonal mounting method.
Many people think that seams between tiles do not need to be repaired. But it doesn't look very attractive and unfinished.
After gluing the tiles, it often happens that the seams do not converge clearly. This can be corrected by patching up dark, uneven joints in the foam tile. Dark seams on light colored tiles appear over time due to dust.
Painting tiles
There is one drawback: over time, the tile darkens and becomes dull. Can be painted with acrylic lacquer, paint or special latex ceiling paint. The simplest thing is to buy water-based paint. The main thing is that the paint does not contain solvents.

Prepare such a solution: dilute the finishing putty with water, mix. The solution should be thick enough. Or such a composition: dilute the putty with a water-based emulsion and seal it between the tiles. However, over time, the seams will darken again. Therefore, there are other ways:
- You can use a ready-made mortar - putty for potholes and cracks.
- Sealing of joints can also be carried out using sealant or acrylic glue, but in the same color as the tiles.
We take a small amount solution on your finger and fill the seam. It doesn't matter what will be uneven and go beyond the edges. So close up 4 tiles.
Then we go through the seams with a sponge for washing dishes dipped in water to remove the excess. Now the seams will not be noticeable.
