Who, how and why shoved the bottle into the brick

The other day I read a post on the Internet about a man who built a house from empty glass bottles. It seemed strange to me, and after looking for information, I found out that the story with the man is not entirely true. He really used bottles in the construction of the house, but rather as an element of decor.

In the course of my little investigation, I learned that although this particular post is not entirely true, in our time, garbage is really used in construction. While this practice is not very common in the CIS countries, in Europe, many private developers find various uses for construction waste and other household waste.

Most of all construction waste is used when creating the foundation of a building. Almost any rubbish will do - brick fragments, asphalt pieces, rebar pieces. For integrity, this mix needs to be poured with a small amount of concrete. The resulting foundation will not differ in any way from the foundation made using standard technology.

And yet, humanity does not yet have problems with the processing of construction waste - people have found many ways to recycle it. Problems arise when recycling plastic - there is simply nowhere to put it. It decomposes for a very long time - up to 100 years, and all this time it continuously pollutes the soil with toxins. Fortunately, they also found use in construction.

They came up with the idea of ​​bricking up plastic. Everything happens as follows: workers take a plastic bottle, fill it with plastic and squeeze, achieving maximum density.

Then they are poured with cement, and a strong and high-quality brick is obtained. While the house is standing, the plastic in its bricks slowly decomposes. And even after 100 years, when all the plastic has decomposed, the house will continue to stand, because the plastic in it is compacted very tightly.

People are finding more and more uses for waste in real life. Already, using waste, it is possible to reduce the cost of a house by almost 40%! Developers are freed from unnecessary waste, and recycling companies are freed from the need to recycle all this waste.
