How I Peel Pomegranate Easily
Greetings, dear visitors!
I love pomegranate. It is surprising for me to hear that someone does not like pomegranates, because pecking at the grains is unpleasant, long, inconvenient. It turns out that there are still many who do not know how to clean pomegranates at all.
And by the way, for some reason many people think that pomegranate seeds are not worth eating. Dislike for the pomegranate, perhaps, is dictated by this. It is difficult to enjoy the taste when you need to separate the seeds by grain. Believe me, the bones of this juicy, delicious fruit are absolutely edible and can even serve as an excellent scrub for the digestive tract. They write a lot in the media, which is even useful. Some people eat watermelon with seeds and... I don't know about the undesirable consequences.
Those who said they didn’t like pomegranates, even they fell in love when I put them a saucer with seeds with a teaspoon. We even noticed that the taste is felt differently, not that when you try to pick out a grain and then try to separate the bones in your mouth. Learn to properly peel and eat this fruit.
It's so easy! I peel one-two-three! Fast, no splashes and no loss of juice droplets and grains! Ready to share with everyone TWO WAYS.
I learned this way last summer when I was taught to cook beef in pomegranate juice and lamb shashlik, which was kept in a pomegranate juice marinade for 24 hours. I thought that getting pomegranate juice was an unrealistically difficult task. Both of these dishes are still in the language, I will share the recipes somehow. To do this, you need to cook and take pictures again.
Well, you can just enjoy yourself at any time of the year if there are pomegranates on sale. So, we clean the pomegranate from the seeds in a simple way. To do this, take a knife and carefully cut the top "cap", the peel in a circle, as shown in the photo.
We peel off this peel, leaving the middle (we will hold on to it when separating). You need to clean it only in order to see the internal veins or partitions (who knows how best). Along the lines of these veins, we carefully cut the peel again, trying not to hurt the grains inside.
And then we hold the middle with our thumb so that the cut slices begin to open one by one.
You can immediately open the slices dry and bend the peel outward above the saucer, the grains will begin to easily separate and pour into the container. But there are veins strong, perhaps depending on the variety or season, then another way.
If the pomegranate is large and the peel is thick (as in my photo), then I do this: Immediately as I make cuts in the slices, immerse it completely in a pot of cold water and leave it for about 20 minutes. During this time, these partitions will absorb water and begin to “release” or peel off from the grains themselves, but the water will not affect the grains in any way. We just have to open the slices and iron the grains, they spill easily into the bowl, just as easily separating from those white streaks. It's nice to eat pomegranate seeds!
