Everyone in our family loves stuffed cabbage rolls. But I never liked to cook them. I always started to freak out if the leaves fell apart, broke. I tried to replace it with Chinese cabbage - I didn't really like the taste. The only way to soften cabbage leaves, so that they can be easily wrapped in stuffed cabbage, which I knew before, is just to scald the cabbage with boiling water.

No, I also know that you can freeze. But not every head of cabbage will still fit on the shelves in my freezer. The shelves are at a fixed level, they cannot be removed, especially if they are frozen. Small cabbage forks are not suitable for stuffed cabbage. Yes, and it takes a long time to wait for thawing and so on.

As for the boiling water... Pulling out a large head of boiling water is a whole problem! And with each layer of leaves, this procedure had to be repeated again. It is precisely because of such difficulties that I do not like to bother with cabbage rolls, despite my love for this dish.

I have been for many years, but only now I have been advised to "process" cabbage correctly. The fact is that my sister's mother-in-law stayed at home while my sister and I went shopping.
