Why did Spathiphyllum drop the leaves after transplanting, wilted or even blackened? What to do about it?
It seems to me that female happiness (the popular popular name for spathiphyllum) is similar to calla lilies - the same delicate, as if from a cream, flowers molded together. And the same capricious!
Usually I am patient, but over and over again I did not understand why this plant reacts so badly to transplantation? And when I delved into the question, it turned out that there can be many reasons!
Spathiphyllum drops leaves
In my case, it was once provoked by overdried soil. It turned out that without water, women's happiness very quickly tends to a state suitable for a herbarium!
I saved him not just by watering - I literally had to put the pot in a container of water for 15 minutes and wipe the leaves and stems themselves several times a day.
But at the next flower transplant, I was wrong again, only now - having achieved stagnant water! It turned out that drooping leaves are also a symptom of decaying roots.
I share my own experience how to save a plant:
· Carefully remove it from the pot, peel the roots from the ground and examine them;
· Remove all dead and sick;
· Disinfect root sections;
· Put the spathiphyllum on paper to dry the roots;
· Plant in dry soil mixture and do not water for the first 2 days - then you can do it as usual.
Spathiphyllum turned black
Worst of all, if this is caused by stagnant water - then, unfortunately, spathiphyllum is unlikely to be saved, because this is already an extreme stage!
But one day the foliage turned black and the reason was in the soil. The fact is that it should be not only nutritious, but also light. And I managed to plant it in heavy and high acidity.
The solution is, naturally, a transplant into normal soil. Mandatory - with drainage. You can mix a little perlite directly into it.
Spathiphyllum withers
Experienced gardeners know that if women's happiness was transplanted according to all the rules, and the flower loses its vitality, then probably the wrong time was chosen for this.
For example, during the flowering period or late autumn. And there is only one thing to do here - take better care of spathiphyllum and hope that it will recover.
And yet, from personal experience, I determined that the first 2 weeks after spathiphyllum transplant are the most important.
It is necessary to create favorable conditions for survival, and these are:
· High air humidity - 50-70%, achieved by using a spray gun every day;
· Sunlight - its rays should not be scorching, but soft. In the summer, it is advisable to cover the pot with a curtain.
Once upon a time these conditions seemed to me a trifle, but it turned out that they help a lot and strengthen women's happiness.
