Careful, he's Capricious. How to properly water Anthurium so that the plant grows quickly?

Anthurium, or male happiness, is one of the most stylishly flowering subtropical plants. Unpretentious in general, but extremely demanding in one thing - the features of watering.

Water is already the basis of life on Earth, and for anthurium it is a source of strength to grow quickly, not to get sick and delight with juicy colors during the flowering period.

Young plants require frequent watering - so that the topsoil is always moist, for adults (3-5 years) - it can be half dry.

There are two ways to water anthurium:

1. Top watering. Everything is simple here - water is poured into the pot until it gets wet through and it flows through the drainage holes into the pan from which it is drained.

2. Watering through the pallet. In this case, water is poured into a tray and it is absorbed, rising up the root system of the plant. And it is important to note that this method can be impeded by the drainage layer in the pot.

From personal experience, I advise you not to choose one, but to combine both watering options, alternating them.

In winter, when the plant is immersed in a dormant period, it can be watered infrequently - once a week. Summer months are "active" for the flower, so watering is required 2-3 times a week

On hot summer days and in winter, when the air becomes dry, like in the desert, due to heating devices, I spray anthurium from a spray bottle again every 5-8 days.

Like many indoor plants, anthurium negatively perceives water directly from the tap - it is too hard, and even contains bleach. Therefore, I always boil it or keep it in bottles for 3-4 days. And it is very important - that it is just at room temperature or slightly warm.

Cold water - causes a "shock" to the root system, from which the plant ceases to normally convert nutrients into vitality, its growth slows down and the risk of diseases increases.

I also want to share information that certain types of anthurium require special treatment in terms of watering. Having learned about this, I realized that I almost destroyed the recently donated plant, but fortunately - thanks to the observance of the rules, the anthurium is healthy.

So, climbing and crystal anthurium need uniform year-round watering.

Linden Anthurium can be watered strictly through the pallet. Winter spraying is categorically contraindicated for Scherzer's anthurium.

Anthurium Veich is the most capricious for spraying - in winter it is carried out every 2 days, and in summer - every day.
