Electricity tariffs may be leveled by 2021
According to the idea of the authors of the project, the cost of one kilowatt should not be higher than the average Russian value of 3.4 rubles.
What is the essence of the initiative
A unified state policy for the formation of electricity tariffs may well be launched as early as mid-2021. And the initiator of this innovation was the speaker of the Federation Council V. Matvienko.
So, according to the document, the so-called leveling of the tariff scale to an average value of 3.4 rubles per consumed kilowatt should be carried out.
At the same time, it is also emphasized that the regions where the tariff is already below this threshold, no increases (up to the average level) are expected.
According to the plans, this maneuver will be carried out at the expense of state subsidies. In addition to the private sector, such a decline may also affect private business, but only focused on the social sphere.
What should be done according to senators
At the moment, the highest tariffs are in Kamchatka, Magadan and Chukotka. There you have to part with an average of 8 rubles per kilowatt. And the minimum tariff is in the Irkutsk region, where only 1.1 rubles are paid for 1 kW.
So, according to a member of the committee of the Federation Council V. Semyonov, such a spread is the main stopper of investments in the regions. Therefore, it (the gap) must be reduced as much as possible.
As V. Semenov, Chairman of the Federation Council V. Matvienko does not mean the equalization of tariffs by increasing them where they are lower and reducing where they are higher, but implies stricter government regulation.
Prices should be based on realistic reasons, and should not be unreasonably high.
Russia, on the other hand, ranks 12th in terms of electricity availability, and this is primarily due to the price of electricity and low incomes of the population.
In addition to the economic justification of prices and the closure of sucker firms, federal subsidies for the regions are also planned.
When to expect change
Prime Minister M. Mishustin ordered to study V. Matvienko, and under favorable circumstances, the new tariffs may come into force in the first half of 2021.
One thing is for sure, there will be changes in tariffication, but what time will tell.
