Geranium or Pelargonium is a wonderful plant that will decorate your windowsill or balcony. You can grow a beautiful plant from seeds, while the main thing in this case is the planting process itself, and pinching, because it is this that affects the fact that the plant then gives a magnificent appearance.

Features of growing geraniums from seeds

In order to plant geraniums from seeds, I bought a bag with ten seeds in the store and planted them with a peat mixture. It was February outside, and I wanted to do the landing.

Despite the fact that many gardeners recommend soaking or processing seeds before planting special solutions, I decided to do everything in the simplest way, and planted the grains directly into the ground, after which flooded with water.

On top of a plastic container, I stretched a film to create the effect of a greenhouse. It is still cold outside and it is undesirable for the temperature to harm the planted seeds.

When and how pinching is done

After five days, I saw the first shoots. Oddly enough, out of ten grains, the same number of shoots appeared, which made me happy.

Seedlings appeared unevenly, but within ten days everyone was already on the surface. Geranium itself grows rapidly, so don't miss the moment of diving.

When the plant has four leaves, it's time to plant the plant in different pots.

In order to dive a plant, certain work must be done:

· Prepare pots according to the number of flowers.

· It is better to separate plants by loosening the ground so as not to harm the stems and leaves.

· Each sprout with a clod of earth is planted in a prepared pot;

· Sprinkle with soil and water on top.

The whole diving process does not take much time, while this procedure makes it possible for the flower to give a lush bloom in the future.

If you grow geraniums from seeds, then it is important to make a dive in a timely manner, since not only the growth of the plant depends on this, but also how painful it will tolerate the transplant.

Many gardeners say that geraniums, after planting with seeds, will begin to flower the next year. In fact, this is not at all the case. It takes five months for a flower to bloom.

In my case, when planting in February, I received abundant flowering in early July. It is a pleasure to grow flowers from seeds, because you not only follow the whole process, but also control it yourself, and as a result you get a beautiful plant for the windowsill or balcony.
