An original garden house-flower garden for a penny for a year, everyone can repeat

Members of our portal are still entertainers in terms of decorating their sites. Desirable, with minimal costs and maximum "exhaust". And who would have thought that such an interesting decoration for an alpine slide can be obtained from construction waste. Moreover, it is also “long-playing”. I did it once and forgot it for several years, you know, for the season, admire the work of your hands. I did so tora, at the same time, fulfilling the dream of his wife.

A treasure trove of ideas and usefulness

There is such a thing on the Internet, a mine of ideas and usefulness.
So we got hooked. There are many ideas worthy of implementation. Created daddies there. One of them - SHOULD TRY TO MAKE.

And also, I accidentally spied on my wife in the allocated, a house for a stone rose (rejuvenated) and the like. I saw interest in her (wife's) eyes. But what should we fulfill the dream of our wife, even if this dream is HOME! By the way, one has already been built, it was also a dream, and we live in it.

Materials, tools

From the construction site of the house tora there were waste, piled aside in reserve (just useful), as well as all kinds of hand and electric tools. So, what was needed from the materials:

  • Foam concrete - thickness 5 cm, dimensions 60 × 25 cm.
  • Flat slate (can be replaced with something, there is a lot of this on the farm, usually in zagashniki).
  • Tile adhesive.
  • Deep penetration primer for outdoor use.
  • Moisture-resistant facade paint (just a little).
  • Antiseptic for wood (any impregnation and protection, wax, oil, which is or is the cheapest to buy).

Tools:

  • Pencil for marking the block.
  • Square.
  • Hacksaw (you can work with any old one, but tora special).
  • Drill.
  • Plane for drywall (in the absence of coarse sandpaper 80-60 units).
  • Spatulas.
  • Consumables (drills, screws).

The "construction" process

At first tora cut into the desired size blanks from aerated concrete (you can also aerated concrete) block.

Next, I cut through the window and door openings, made slate grooves and holes for water drain. Before gluing the details of the house, I moistened the foam concrete well to increase adhesion. The craftsman used a spray bottle, but you can simply immerse the workpieces in water for a few minutes. The glued parts were additionally fixed with long self-tapping screws (120 mm).

This is for greater reliability and observance of the geometry when seizing the glue seam. You can do without hardware, but then the gluing process will stretch in time, you will have to wait until each part is glued together. After planting the elements on the glue, the workpiece must be moistened again so that the glue firmly seizes on the block body.

It turned out a house as in the photo, all covered with glue. WHOOOO!
We take a drywall planer and cut it on all planes. No planer, we take coarse sandpaper and three to strip off the excess. At the same time, we bring the geometry of the house to the desired level.
don't get carried away, the material is pretty soft. Then I glued the bottom and hemmed the roof overhangs with the remaining pieces of slate.
Then I made a pipe.
This is a piece of aerated concrete the remainder of what I cut off from the wall of the house (block 60 cm, house 45 cm). I drilled a hole to the bottom and made smaller holes at the very bottom on each face. A pipe is not just a pipe, but watering can be done through it if the plants grow heavily on the house.

After finishing, the house must be thoroughly primed, practically filled. And so three approaches, abundantly processed, dried up, repeated. After the primer has dried, paint with facade paint in two layers with complete drying.

From wooden scraps of a corner and slats tora made window sills, sills and trims for the roof. Since the house will be a street flower garden and will last for several years under the sun, rain and snow, wooden the elements are also abundantly coated with an antiseptic or other specialized compound to protect against rotting. And here it is optimal to apply in three layers, as carefully as possible. By and large, the house is almost ready.

Debugging - optional, but cool

The hobby is not only construction, but brazing copper is one of his favorite activities. Plus, after assembling the heating system in the house, copper remained, and due to the love of soldering it, all the bells and whistles (burner, solders, ointments, fittings) are available. therefore tora I also soldered the drain, and securely fixed it.

Now the object is completely ready for delivery to the customer.

The house will move to its habitat, to an alpine hill, in the spring (it was done in November). Three days passed from the picture seen on the wife's phone to the completely finished house. And then, the work itself was three hours, the rest of the time was spent on drying the soil and paint. In order for the house for the young to become functional, earth is poured inside, for example, in a plastic bag with holes or geotextiles. In order to avoid drips of earth in case of heavy rainfall.

Fitting in place.

Backlight

During the discussion in the topic where tora shared his rejuvenating house he was offered to make a backlight. The wife approved, the husband embodied this too. The lamp, purchased for 89 rubles, was used for lighting almost all of it (except for the leg).

  • Disassembled.
  • Cut out a solar panel (4x4 cm square).
  • I soldered the wire with solder to the solar cell, insulated it, glued it to the ridge on liquid nails. carefully coated with sealant so that no water gets in.
  • I ran the wire through the corners of the roof, grabbing it on liquid nails at the bends.
  • I replaced the lamp cover with a hole (I removed the battery) with a shortened spray cover of a suitable diameter.
  • I passed the wire into the hole (factory, if not, it's not a problem to do it), missed the walls with liquid nails, inserted a leaky cover, it turned out whole.
  • Soldered the other end of the wire (observing the polarity).
  • I screwed the lid with a self-tapping screw from the inside to the ceiling of the house and screwed in the lamp.

Voila:

Operation, how the house lives after years

In mid-April, it was time to plant the young in the house. He lined the inside of the roof with non-woven material, fixed it with a stapler. He poured soil, carefully tamped it, pulled a galvanized plaster mesh over it, grabbed it with a stapler. The net will hold the ground and protect it from possible pests (animals, birds, cats) while the plants take root. Planting "household members" elementary - pressed the hole with your finger, stuck it in, sprinkled it. For a week, the flower garden stood in the house for the plants to take root. It turned out very impressive.

The house was put on an alpine hill, and meanwhile tora the customer appeared. And a similar house, but with a slightly different story.

A grateful customer sent a report.

Foam concrete is considered by many to be a fragile and short-lived material. However, the house for young people refutes this statement year after year. Four winters later, spring 2018.

The house is not covered in any way either in summer or in winter. A year later, in the spring of 2019, practically nothing has changed.

A great idea for an alpine slide, rockery or just decorating the site. Click Like!

A few more ideas with minimal investment and full return: dry streams, garden decor, garden paths. The video shows a fabulous landscape with your own hands.
