New building materials that will soon replace concrete, wood, glass + trash house on the printer
Life does not stand still. People invent, invent everything new. Every year new items appear among construction and finishing materials. They can soon replace wood, glass, make concrete more durable and of better quality, etc. Consider innovative building and finishing materials.
Erklez
Finishing material that is already used in decoration, landscape design, in interiors. This is a common lump glass, which is obtained from the waste of the manufacture of glass products. Over time, designers decided to use it for their own purposes. Today Erklez is produced everywhere.
Eco-friendly material is not expensive (from 35 to 100 rubles. per kg.). They are used for the manufacture of countertops, mosaics, for gabions, decoration of alpine slides, garden paths, blind areas. They decorate swimming pools, fountains, ponds.
Transparent tree
A unique material that can replace glass and plastic. When making a new material, the lignin is removed and the polymer is added.
The resulting wood transmits light and is highly durable. Perhaps such material will soon be used in the construction of houses.
Kvaril
New material from which bathtubs and shower trays are made. It is a combination of quartz and acrylic. It is a great replacement for acrylic. According to some characteristics, kvaril is better than acrylic.
A bath made of such material comes out so rigid that no additional reinforcement is required. Such a bathtub is slightly heavier than an acrylic bathtub.
Longer service life, excellent sound insulation, non-slippery surface. The water in the quaril bath cools slowly. Dirt does not accumulate on a flat, smooth surface.
Coal concrete
It has not yet received widespread use, but many builders are interested. This carbon fiber concrete is somewhat similar to reinforced concrete. But there are still significant differences.
High strength, carbon fiber reinforcement will soon replace conventional concrete. A few more advantages: lightness and durability exceeding reinforced concrete. Coal concrete is already being used to strengthen old buildings, new structures are being built.
Garbage houses
Architects from China have created a special 3D printer that can print any home. This technology is not new, but the bottom line is that such houses can still be printed from construction waste. In a day, the printer can print 10 small buildings.
