What is the use of Ivan tea in nature.
Every plant, even the smallest one, plays a huge role in our ecosystem. The disappearance of a particular species can have a very detrimental effect on the ecological situation in a certain area.
In this article I would like to talk about such a wonderful plant as ivan tea or fireweed. Most often it is found in the taiga areas.
Fireweed grows in a solid carpet. One has only to free the territory from forests or other plantings, as Ivan tea begins to actively "accumulate" the vacated places.
But it cannot in any way be equated with weeds, which do not bring any benefit to either the animals or the soil. On the contrary, fireweed serves as an excellent fertilizer for impoverished soil.
Ivan tea restores soil fertility. Due to the large volume of biomass, which dies off every year and turns into an excellent fertilizer for land, fireweed very quickly restores the soil and it becomes ready for planting cultural plants.
The role of ivan tea is very important for forests, especially young ones. In places of fires, fireweed begins to grow, then shoots of young trees slowly appear.
Fireweed does not interfere with the growth of small sprouts, but on the contrary protects them from all kinds of damage. Ivan tea prevents the sun from burning tender young shoots of trees, and the winds to break them.
You can even call this plant a "nanny" for young trees.
And of course, fireweed is a fodder plant not only for animals, but also for birds. The seeds of the plant save the winged inhabitants of the taiga in cold weather.
Wild boars feed on fireweed roots, which are high in starch. They help out animals in early spring, when there is nothing special to eat.
In the middle of spring, even bears do not deprive Ivan tea of their attention. They are happy to feed on young tender sprouts of fireweed.
Bees also love to visit the flowers of fireweed, which is one of the main melliferous plants in the taiga.
People are happy to collect this wonderful plant and make delicious tea from it.
It would seem that such an ordinary taiga plant, and what a huge role it plays: it preserves the ecosystem, and feeds animals, and benefits people.
