One of the oldest varieties - bred in the 50s of the last century in the Lithuanian SSR. From personal experience, I can say that it reproduces perfectly not with purchased seeds, but with seeds collected from their plants.

The crop can be harvested in 18-26 days, in favorable conditions from 1 sq. m landings really pull up to 3.5 kg. Root vegetables weigh 13-30 g, extremely sweet for radishes, the flesh can be white or pinkish.

The variety demonstrates excellent resistance to the main diseases of the culture, is not afraid of night frosts, and it is almost impossible to find voids in these root crops.

Melito F1

A hybrid variety, so store seeds are needed for sowing. It seems surprising that almost all ripe fruits are selected - about 4 cm in diameter and 20-30 g in weight, perfectly round and even, bright red, with the thinnest tail.

Not too spicy or sweet, but they seem to have some kind of spring freshness. A serious plus of the variety is its resistance to cracking. The yield reaches 4 kg per 1 sq. m.

In a year when almost everything in the garden suffered from downy mildew, only Melito F1 did not disappoint, it was filled with ripeness without problems in due time! From germination to maturation, 16-20 days pass.

This radish can be safely planted in any corner of the site. The only thing he really needs is regular, abundant watering.

Presto

It was bred by the breeders of the "Association Biotechnica" company and since 2002 the variety has been recommended for cultivation in all regions of the country. The fruits are small - weigh about 14 g and have a diameter of 3.5 cm. There is no bitterness in the taste at all.

The crop can be harvested in 17-22 days. For 1 sq. m of plantings, you can grow 2-2.5 kg of radish. From personal experience, I can say that Presto is the most cold-resistant radish, so I plant it very first and even without a film cover.

There is one more feature - I am used to planting this variety not only in early spring, but at the end of summer - for the September harvest.
