Why is it worth choosing to buy and install a glossy stretch ceiling

After the new windows were installed in the apartment and the wallpaper was pasted over, the question arose about the choice of the ceiling. Without a doubt, we settled on a stretch ceiling. It is both convenient and practical. It looks beautiful and lasts for many years.

Several varieties of stretch ceilings were presented in the store's catalog:

• glossy;

• matte;

• with an image;

• with silk-screen printing.

We settled on a glossy stretch ceiling in baked milk color.

We decided not to take additional bulbs, but only the chandelier. We ordered it for the whole apartment at once. The price turned out to be quite budgetary (about 25,000 rubles).

I immediately had to buy chandeliers so that the workers made the necessary cuts in the canvas for their fastening.

The installation of ceilings and chandeliers took only a day. Everything was done quickly and efficiently.

Now about 6 years have passed since we acquired glossy stretch ceilings. During this time, I can single out a number of pros and cons in their operation.

Pros of glossy stretch ceilings

• Visual expansion of space. Our rooms are small, and due to the mirror surface, the ceiling expands and increases the area.

• Disguise. Under the stretch ceiling, you can hide wiring or other surface defects.

• Price. Stretch ceilings without a pattern and unnecessary accessories will cost a fairly budgetary cost.

• The beauty. This is an important factor in creating a beautiful interior. Glossy ceilings look very decent and expensive.

• Durability. The stretch ceiling can serve for many years. It does not sag or fade in the sun. If neighbors flood your apartment, then such a ceiling can withstand many liters of water.

These are all the main advantages that I have identified for myself. There are quite a few of them. If we compare stretch ceilings with other options, then the first ones definitely win.

Cons of glossy stretch ceilings

• Difficulty in leaving. I wash my stretch ceiling 1-2 times a year. Any means leave stains, which you then have to look for in different lighting conditions. It is difficult to achieve a perfectly glossy surface.

• Small selection of ceiling cleaning products. More precisely, there are almost no such funds on the market. Even companies that directly install stretch ceilings do not have such funds. You have to wash the ceiling with the help of improvised means or folk methods. For example, cleaning sprays for glasses and mirrors (depending on the composition) or water with ammonia.

I did not regret installing and purchasing glossy stretch ceilings, since there are almost no drawbacks in their operation. I am very glad that we have chosen just such a ceiling.
