Making a glass for office supplies from an old keyboard

Greetings comrades homemade. What do you usually do with an old keyboard on which some of the buttons no longer work or is outdated? Throw it in the trash. But you shouldn't do it. If a keyboard is lying around in the bins, then we start up it and make a beautiful glass for office supplies.

The glass will be not so much beautiful as creative, and if you approach the matter with care, it can even be used as a gift.

So, we take the old keyboard and dismantle all the buttons from it. Do this carefully so as not to scratch adjacent keys.

Now we take the pliers and remove all the insides of each key that will prevent us from gluing it to a flat surface.

Next, we take our paper cup and first make a layout without glue. An important point here is that you cannot use any paper box, since each key has a clear size and so that they fit exactly on the plane, you need to fit the plane itself under them.

In other words, we take any cardboard box, cut out parts of such a size so that 4 rows of keys can clearly fit on it. Then we glue the parts into one box.

We glue the homemade cup with paper to match the color of the keys. And it is better to use cloth instead of paper, so the grip will be better.

We lay out the preliminary arrangement of the keys.

We do this for each side and immediately put it on the table next to it exactly as they will be located on the glass. This is not to get confused later.

Final stage. We take a glue gun and begin to glue the keys on the glass according to the preliminary calculation.

This is the kind of thing you get as a result.

I cannot say that the author tried very hard to make this particular glass, or rather did not try at all. But if you show patience, you will get a completely decent and functional product for decoration.

The glass looks very beautiful, and most importantly stylish. So if you have nothing to keep yourself busy for the weekend, then take your son or grandson and start being creative. And you feel good and the children are happy.
