Review from the one that is already quite experienced in choosing kitchen scales
Kitchen scale Homestar HS-3008, purchase date - January 2020.
This is my second scale, Polaris PKS 1044DG, bought for 1200 rubles in September 2018, remained in the old apartment.
My selection criteria:
1. Price / functionality.
I'm willing to pay, but only for quality. I set myself a bar of 700 rubles on the kitchen scale.
2. Accuracy.
I always first study the reviews of other buyers on various sites.
3. Tare zeroing.
The most useful function so as not to subtract the weight of the plate by hand. Perhaps for those who cook according to the recipe, the function of sequential weighing will also be needed, for me it is perfectly replaced by the function to zero tare. You can reset the weight after each new ingredient.
4. Automatic shutdown.
In order not to drain the battery.
5. Dimensions.
I have little space on my desktop, I was looking for a compact scale.
6. Picture.
Neutral, I do not like images of food on household appliances, as I am on a diet.
7. Battery included.
Its presence is mandatory, since the cost of batteries sometimes exceeds the cost of the items themselves (from 300 rubles and more).
In the process of using, the following advantages and disadvantages of the kitchen scales were revealed.
Pros:
1. Compact. They take up a minimum of space, at the same time the scoreboard is clearly visible.
2. Exact. Tested on products by weight.
3. Cheap. I was lucky, I bought them for a special offer in the "Domovoy" store for 390 rubles.
4. Battery included.
5. There is a tare zeroing function.
6. Turn off automatically within 10 seconds.
7. A good maximum weight is 7 kg.
Minuses:
1. High compared to my previous weights. That is, they are not thin, but rather plump. In fact, this does not interfere in any way.
2. There is no automatic turn-on function. It turned out that this is also a very convenient function when you simply put the plate on the weighing platform and the scales immediately begin to weigh. Here, you must first turn on the scales with the button.
3. There is only one button for zeroing the container and switching on. Not very convenient, but later I got used to it and will not experience any inconvenience now.
4. Weight is not visible in the dark. But naturally, backlit scales are much more expensive.
I am very pleased with the scales for such a price. Satisfied me completely. Since I monitor my health, I periodically go on a diet, I weigh the portions of food consumed every day, including vegetables and fruits. I advise the scales. I like very much.
Thanks for attention. Share your experience with kitchen scales, how often do you use them?
