I am telling you how I easily got rid of the Ants in the Greenhouse. Maybe someone will come in handy too
I, of course, am not against insects, and they believe that they all have a right to exist. But it's another matter, when insects become uninvited guests in your greenhouse, and even more so when they settle there for a long time.
This is how the ants once decided to take over my greenhouse. Of course, I began to chew. After all, the presence of ants could and did create a lot of problems.
Here are just a few of them:
· Plants grow worse because the ants damaged the roots of the seedlings. And this harm far exceeded the benefit that could be from loosening the soil by ants.
Also, cultivated plants began to grow worse due to the fact that acid, which ants secrete, got on their green parts.
· It also turned out that the presence of ants in the greenhouse guarantees that aphids will also appear in the greenhouse. And no gardener wants to see aphids in his area.
This is a very dangerous pest that can destroy the entire crop due to its rapid reproduction.
· And it is possible that ants can bring some kind of infection to the greenhouse, because they are well-known carriers of many plant diseases.
From my acquaintances and neighbors in the country, I learned that you can get rid of ants using ordinary tea soda, mustard or ammonia. Personally, I liked the last method the most.
It turned out to be the most effective, and besides, with the help of ammonia, I was also able to feed my plantings.
Ammonia has a negative effect on the nervous system of ants. The ammonia smell literally paralyzes them. Of course, this can be a rather cruel method. But where to go if you need to save the crop that you are trying to grow, putting a lot of work and effort into it.
For such a solution, with which I got rid of the ants and was able to feed the plants, I used 10 liters of water. For this volume of water, I needed to take 10 milliliters of ammonia.
I mixed these 2 components, and this was the end of the simple preparation. Then I poured the product into a sprinkler and began to process my plantings. So I managed to save my greenhouse from an ant invasion.
As you can see, the recipe is quite simple, and ammonia is probably found in any medicine cabinet. In general, any pungent odors are unpleasant for ants. Consider this when you also decide to get rid of the ants.
