Are you lucky? Bought the socket wrench I was looking for
I have been to the iron market more than once in the hope of finding a simple but functional socket wrench forsmall swamps and nuts. Most often, the need for it arose when installing plumbing, especially toilets. Finally got caught, albeit not perfect, but still a very good sample. A set, of course, Chinese, for 23 subjects.
What's in the set
The key comes with:
- extension cord with square head and square;
- set of heads (4-12 mm) - 9 pcs .;
- bit set - 11 pcs + 1 square / hex adapter.
- black plastic socket on the key square for convenience.
The key itself is made of ordinary carbon steel, but it is well complex and gives the impression of a fairly solid thing, although I understand that it is better to avoid excessive loads. Both sides are workers. On the ratchet axis stands square for heads from ball lockand on the other hand hex head under the bits.
The heads are of excellent quality, I did not notice any signs of a fake, although I am not sure about the quality of the bits, but this does not upset, since I purchased it as a socket wrench, not a screwdriver.
The extension can only be used for socketing and is not suitable for bits. However, I found at home in a box non-standard head by 6.5 mm, which came up and now through it I can use an extension cord to work with bits. Also long bits can be inserted into the key and calmly twist them in hard-to-reach places.
Very conveniently located ratchet switch, right on the handle, just above its rubberized part. During operation, the finger finds it without problems. The switch is equipped with a leaf springintegrated between the plates of the key handle and works with a distinct click.
I liked that the key, adapter and extension cord have good ball clamps.
Socket wrench tests have shown that it is, first of all, a wrench, and then a screwdriver. It will be possible to tighten and unscrew the self-tapping screw in an inconvenient place, but good efforts are needed so that the bit does not jump off the splines, which happens with lateral rotational load.
In general, the key and its price in 300 rubles satisfied. It is not needed so often, but it will save strength and nerves. Would you buy one?
