What vegetables do I recommend to plant in the shade. You will get Record harvests without problems

All summer residents know that sunny places in the country are the most valuable of all, they are constantly in short supply! But shaded areas are not idle on my site either.

Because I know a precious secret - which vegetables prefer the shade to the sun, or at least perceive the lack of light neutrally. Therefore, I am used to harvesting excellent harvests every year and I am not at all opposed to sharing useful knowledge!

Chard

If you plant an ordinary beet in the shade, small root crops will ripen, but a completely different thing is required from the leaf beet - the development of the aboveground part! There are varieties with cream, scarlet, yellow stems.

The only drawback of Swiss chard is that it is a seasonal vegetable and when prepared or frozen, it loses its high taste.

Celery

More than once I have come across the opinion that the shade is only suitable for its root variety, but in my opinion, it is so glorious to grow stalked celery.

Yes, its stems are not that thick and tall. But on the other hand, thanks to the shade, they are distinguished by their juiciness and tenderness, there is no fibrous roughness in them, which is difficult to chew.

Ramson

An amazing plant of taiga origin thrives best in the shade. Whereas if you plant it in the sun, the wild garlic will hurt more and will sooner go to the arrow.

Shaded wild garlic grows densely, is distinguished by aroma and especially piquant taste. This is especially useful for late varieties - which are used for harvesting.

Cauliflower

Last year, to save space, I planted it under the apple trees - a great one! Direct rays of the sun are contraindicated for cauliflower heads - they become inedible from this.

And yet, it has been scientifically proven that in shaded areas any cabbage suffers least of all from its main pest - the cruciferous flea.

Rhubarb

You can and should plant it in a shady and far corner of the site - so that powerful bushes of greenery do not interfere with any other cultivated plants. To keep the rhubarb leaves large and juicy, I advise you to water it frequently and abundantly.

Jerusalem artichoke

An exotic root vegetable native to America that can be cooked in much the same way as potatoes.

It is distinguished by its amazing unpretentiousness - it can be planted where, after all the planned plantings, there is little free space left. And its yellow flowers resembling sunflowers serve as a bright decoration for the garden.

Main Reasons Why You Grow Poor Potato Yield

Most gardeners grow potatoes in their backyards. It would seem that there is nothing difficult i...
