Complex dismantling of the mixer. The way I was scolded
From my own experience, I know that the most difficult thing when replacing an old mixer with a new one is dismantling the old one. Sometimes, for convenience, you have to remove the sink, so it happened this time. And what do you think, this manipulation did not help anything.
Dismantling the old mixer
First of all I tried to unscrew the flexible eyeliner, it did not go, broke it with pliers, trying not to break the ceramic sink. Then I tried with pliers, unscrew the nut, and wherever there, I removed the sink, now it is convenient to work, but again to no avail, the nut is firmly stuck to the body of the device.
The understanding came that the nut should be cut off, but how? The grinder does not crawl, pay attention to the configuration of the sink, but for such cases I had a way out. At one time, I dismantled the shaft from the old angle grinder, on which the cutting disc is attached. If you attach it to a drill or screwdriver, you get a very mobile device that can crawl anywhere. So this time this design helped me out.
When I showed it to the people, many scolded me, motivating that it was unsafe, stupidity, adjustable speed on a drill and screwdriver, it is much safer to work on an angle grinder.I thought it was enough for me to cut only one side of the nut, it didn’t help, I turned on the mixer and sawed off on the other side. The hardware fell apart, freeing the tap from the sink. The work is delicate, because the ceramic sink is also glass, one careless movement will burst.
New mixer
It's a pleasure to install a new device, everything is mounted without problems, in just half an hour.
I checked it - it works, the client is happy, and I have goodies for the work done.
