Use an old flexible hose. 5 ways
After a certain number of years, any flexible eyeliner must be changed and most often it should be done after 5 years. However, before throwing away the old thing, I suggest you find out about five ways to use it indirectly. But even if only one option comes in handy, that's not bad.
To begin with, the flexible hose must be disassembled into parts and see from which "bones" it is assembled. The most valuable of all is nut, union and braid.
1 way
Using nut, native fitting, which you need to carefully pick out from the hose with pliers, or metal scissors, and a new 1/2 '' O-ring, we get an assembly for connecting a soft hose of a smaller diameter. Only the hose, for example from a shower head, like mine, will have to be additionally squeezed with some kind of clamp. The end result is a simple transition from 1/2 to some other diameter.
2 way
Nut from old eyeliner with ease
will replace the plug of the corresponding diameter on a pipe or valve, only inside it, place a suitable sized coin and put a 1/2 inch rubber ring on top of it. True, such an exit is applicable only on external threads, but if there is an adapter-nipple at hand, it will be possible to plug a fitting with an internal thread through it, for example MRV.3 way
I especially like this option for its external characteristics and safety. The point is that flexible lead you can see a small piece of corrugated pipe to protect the wiring. For example, here is a picture of a lamp, where one end of the liner is neatly mounted into the spotlight, and the other, with a nut at the end, goes into a thick tube. It so happened to hide the electrical wire from the eyes and provide it with a stable position, which is easy to change without twists and kinks.
Method 4 and 5
If we unbraid the braid, we get many long and thin wires that are strong but very flexible. It remains only to figure out where they can be used. Since the braid does not rust, the wire is suitable for attaching or tying anything outdoors. And, perhaps, it will be useful for making some kind of craft or fishing.
Well, the last of the proposed options - make a rust removal nozzle out of the braid. Its rigidity depends on the rigidity of the braid and on the number of veins. It seems that such a thing will be able to remove rust in a pipe cut or in some kind of recess.
In this case, I collected the wires in three bundles, bent them in half into a ringlet, screwed it to the pipe trim with electrical tape and cut the ringlet from above with scissors for metal. Inside the tube I passed a long bolt with washers at the top and bottom. From below, I tightened the washer with a nut and left a little free bolt for fastening in the drill chuck.
These are not tricky moments. I would be grateful for valuable additions and comments.
