Water evenly penetrates the soil, feeding the roots in a timely manner. In addition, gardeners do not need to spend their energy on constant watering of the beds. Such a system is suitable for summer residents who come out of town only once a week. This will allow you not to worry about landings during their absence.
In most cases, drip irrigation gardeners use conventional hoses, but this method has some disadvantages. In order to make a line, you need to purchase hoses by spending your money. In addition, hoses will be located throughout the site. You will also have to puzzle over where to make the branch, how to connect the hoses, how to connect to the container where the water for irrigation is stored.
If you do not want to do such a long and difficult job, then you can create drip irrigation using improvised means. For this you will need plastic bottles. Why this particular method? You do not need to spend money on buying hoses, the created system does the job perfectly, and the soil always remains moist. If necessary, you can easily remove the irrigation system from the site.

Drip irrigation can be made from plastic bottles in 3 different ways.
Make holes in a 1.5 liter bottle from the very bottom to the shoulders. The size should come from the type of soil, as well as the amount of water required to water the plant. Be sure to make a hole in the lid so air can enter the container. Bury the bottle in the ground so that all the holes made are in the soil. Unscrew the cap and fill it with water, close the bottle again.
This method works perfectly, but it is inconvenient to pour water into a container. Depending on the holes, the flow rate will be. One bottle is enough to water the garden for 2 to 7 days.
The next method is completely opposite to the previous one. The holes need to be made in the area of ​​the neck, cut off the bottom and drip in the bottle with the neck down. Leave about 3 cm above the ground, this will allow the bottom to be put on and, if necessary, removed from the bottle. It will be convenient to pour water into the bottle, and thanks to the put-on bottom, the water will not be able to evaporate.
This is a pretty convenient way. When using a wide container, you can always track how much water has gone.
For the next method, you will need one 1.5 liter and one 5 liter bottle. The smaller container must be cut into 2 equal parts. Only the bottom is needed from it. Cut the eggplant into two parts, leaving no more than 5 cm from the bottom. Bury the bottom of 1.5 bottles in the ground and fill with water, cover the top with the top of a large bottle and also lightly dig in so that it does not blow away by gusts of wind. The water in a small glass will begin to evaporate and most of it will drain into the ground, moistening it.
In this case, you will always see the amount of remaining water, which means that if necessary, you can add water on time.
To keep moisture longer, mulch the soil. Thanks to the first two methods, it is possible to fertilize the soil. This will allow not only to water the plants in a timely manner, but also to feed them.
