End of May: what annual flowers can still be planted by seeds directly in the Flowerbed

Gardeners and gardeners have a lot of worries every season, so it happens that there is no way to grow full-fledged flower seedlings.

Therefore, in order not to sit in the summer season without beauty, I have at the ready a large list of unpretentious annuals that can be sent right in May - by seeds to a flower bed and will soon bloom!

And I decided to share a part of this luxurious elegant list - what if someone will come in handy?

Delphinium

Landscape designers advise placing it near water bodies, I sowed it in a flower bed near a rocky slide with an artificial waterfall.

The varieties are dwarf - about 40 cm and tall - the so-called Pacific hybrids reach 200 cm.

A useful and little-known fact - the delphinium attracts beneficial insects to the garden, including bumblebees.

Godetia

In my opinion, the graceful inflorescences of this plant are somewhat reminiscent of painted porcelain of tea cups. Crimson godetia with white stripes is especially effective.

Flowering can continue until frost. For successful development, it must be planted according to the 15x20 cm scheme.

Sunflower

There is no mistake! There are many decorative and even undersized varieties. Sunflower looks especially impressive in flower beds, where all kinds of ornamental greenery are sown.

For example, haretail cereal, which can be recommended to everyone who loves to decorate their home not only with live bouquets, but also with dried flowers.

Calendula

I always prefer not the classic varieties, but unusual ones, for example, the thick double Prince of India and the pale salmon pink surprise.

I want to emphasize that calendula is actively propagated by self-sowing, so that next year, if you do not remove its seeds and forget about it, it can suppress the development of other flowers planted in this place.

Cosmidium

An effective choice for a flower bed designed in the form of a rocky garden. Each flower is coffee-burgundy with a yellow border around the edges of the petals.

In order for the seeds to sprout, they need to be buried no more than 55. The place for the cosmidium should be sunny, sheltered from icy drafts.

Daisy

Has not lost popularity in gardens for almost two centuries! Low fluffy daisies in a flower bed may well serve as a background for other, taller flowers.

So that they do not fail, the soil must be light and fertile. But you shouldn't worry about weeds - daisies themselves are able to suppress them.
