Power of Siberia-2 gas pipeline. Resumption of the gasification project in Eastern Siberia
Earlier, in the article There is no main gas for heating in Eastern Siberia. The reason that is not customary to talk about I wrote about one of the reasons why the regions of Eastern Siberia do not have main gas supplies. Main gas is the cheapest energy source for heating, but it never came here. Moreover, in the conditions of the Siberian climate. There is good news, which says that the situation may change for the better in the coming years:
This, of course, is not the beginning of work, not the launch of the project. This is the collection of data on potential consumers for adjusting the Power of Siberia-2 gas pipeline project, which has existed since 2016. The main consumer of gas volumes via the pipeline is China:
And by all logic, along the way of laying the gas pipeline, branches will also go to the cities of Eastern Siberia. The need for gas only in the Krasnoyarsk Territory is 5 billion rubles. m3 per year.
Krasnoyarsk is constantly among the ten cities with the most polluted air. Main sources: several CHP (coal-fired), several factories within the city and transport. But stove heating from the private sector also adds a significant share to this statistic. For example, this is especially true in Minusinsk and Abakan, where there is a lot of private sector in cities. In winter, smoke-polluted air is an environmental problem. Gasification of such areas will eliminate this problem and make life easier for the population in heating housing.
It is unlikely that the CHPP will be converted to gas, because they are owned by SUEK, which owns the largest coal mines in Siberia. Gazprom will not go into conflict. Their number one task is to lay a gas pipeline to China and, on the way, include in the project the gas needs in Russia.
I don't know if the gas pipe will reach the area where our village is located (12 km from the regional center) at least in 10 years. So far, no one has presented any maps or programs for gasification of the region.
The main motive for gasification in large settlements is the improvement of the ecology in cities and other settlements. If the cost of connecting a house is the same as in the European part of Russia, then such gas is not needed.
Although, connection examples say that there will be no adequate prices: Examples of the cost of connecting a private house to the main gas. Why is it so expensive and what to do?
It is quite realistic to make tariffs for electricity throughout Eastern Siberia as in the Irkutsk region (below 1 RUB / kWh). With so many powerful hydroelectric power plants.
How soon do you think the Power of Siberia-2 gas pipeline project will be implemented and will the private sector be connected at an adequate price?
