Consider cleaning flooring, in particular linoleum, when:
Washing linoleum with weekly cleaning
If the floor is not very dirty, use warm soapy water for washing (but not hot - the picture will deteriorate). The second time we go through the floor with clean water and then rub it with a woolen rag. If the linoleum is too dirty, then add a little vinegar to the water. It is necessary to change the water and the rag more often so as not to dilute the dirt. After wet cleaning, linoleum is rubbed with mastic or special polymers.
Washing linoleum after repairs
During repairs, it is advisable to cover the floor with paper or foil. But no matter how carefully you produce putty, paint, etc. work, stains and dust will inevitably appear on the floor. The repair is over, and now everything that could not be taken out should be thoroughly washed. It is necessary to decide how to wash doors, windows, pipes, batteries, so as not to harm the linoleum laid on the floor. Soda and alkalis should not be used - they neutralize the shine.
Dried cement-sand mortar, tile glue are removed with a dry brush and vacuum cleaner. Until everything is neatly cleaned, wet cleaning cannot be carried out - you will scratch the surface. Oil stains are removed with the same liquids with which gas stoves are wiped. To remove latex paint, it is best to use white spirit.
If these rules are observed, the life span of linoleum will increase significantly. The cleanliness, brightness of the pattern and shine will remain and will delight for more than one year.
