How I struggled with mold on the ceiling in my country house for several years.

Mold is an attack that is not easy to get rid of. One has only to appear on the ceiling or wall once and sometimes it takes years to fight the fungus in this place.

So after winter, a small center of black mold appeared on the ceiling in my country house.

The reason for its appearance is, of course, understandable.

Two years ago, the country house was not heated in winter.

And the conditions for the appearance of mold were perfect.: high humidity, poor ventilation, and even the roof, as it turned out, was leaking in this place.

Then the appearance of a small hotbed of mold did not greatly upset.

The mold stain was simply washed off with a sponge and soapy water.

After drying, I repainted this place with paint, repaired the roof and forgot about this problem.

But, as it turned out, I shouldn't have taken it so lightly.

This year, the ceiling has blossomed again with renewed vigor.

This time I approached the solution of this problem more thoroughly.

To localize the center of mold, I took an inexpensive, but time-tested disinfectant - white. Commonly called bleach.

To begin with, I made a solution of whiteness with water in a 1: 1 ratio.

Then, using a sponge, I treated the mold with the resulting solution, plus, capturing 25 cm around.

I made two applications with an interval of 20 minutes.

After complete drying, before painting, I treated the affected area with a deep penetration primer (fungicidal).

Hopefully this problem won't come back next year.
