Secrets of growing huge onions thanks to feeding in June.
There are many articles on how to grow healthy and large onions yourself. They tell you how to properly prepare seeds and soil for planting, how to treat onions from pests and the like. But, few people know that late feeding is also important in the successful cultivation of onions.
When the bow is already beginning to form completely, i.e. the bulbs become large enough, it is necessary to feed.
This is best done in the last week of June or the first days of July. To carry out top dressing, you need to take a complex water-soluble fertilizer and dilute it with water. For 10 liters of water, 30 g of fertilizer will be enough. Onions begin to absorb nutrients and accelerate growth. Huge bulbs are provided for you.
To consolidate the result and get not only a large harvest, but also suitable for long-term storage, you need to feed the onions again at the end of July. This will require the following fertilizers: 10-15 g of potassium sulfate and 20 g of superphosphate per 10 liters of water.
Pour the onion under the root with the resulting liquid. Then pour a bed of onions with clean water from a watering can in order to wash off any accidental fertilizer from the feathers.
Having carried out these simple manipulations, you can provide yourself with huge bulbs that will have good taste and be stored for a long time.
