Traditional methods are good, but sometimes you can get rid of the smell in the washing machine only with chemistry
At one point, I began to notice that things get an unpleasant smell after washing. Something between the distinct smell of dampness and mildew. As soon as you just sniff the drum, it became clear that the smell comes from the machine itself. Moreover, there was no visible pollution (it just seemed so). I started searching the internet for tips on how to get rid of the smell and trying all kinds of different ways.
There is dirt - you just need to find it
If you pull back the cuff in the drum, you might wonder what is not there. I personally pulled out 2 lighters, several checks and almost 50 rubles in change. But most of all I was confused by the frank bloom of gray-brown color. It was not washed with water, so I had to resort to chemistry.
Result: after the first wash with the washed cuff, the odor is significantly reduced. Decreased, but remained, which did not suit me.
Peroxide, citric acid and other folk methods are useless
I tried many ways that I managed to find on the net:
1. Washed with hydrogen peroxide.
2. Washed with citric acid.
3. I washed the drum.
4. He even took off the heating element and washed it.
But none of these methods gave absolutely no results.
But the heating element was really hammered, so perhaps I extended his life.
I bought a special product - and lo and behold - it happened!
Desperate, I just bought a special product.
According to the instructions, you need to put it in the drum and start the wash at 60 °, which I did. And the result pleased me - the smell really disappeared. But I still couldn't figure out where it came from. Have you ever encountered an unpleasant smell from a washing machine? And how did you get rid of it? Perhaps my time has just come, she is already almost 10 years old...
