Cozy change house: how to comfortably accommodate a family on 14 square meters

To create coziness in a small area is a nightmare for a designer: not every creative person would think of an ergonomic and convenient solution. But the participantFORUMHOUSE under the name Filli, the seemingly impossible was possible - to comfortably accommodate with a family on an area of ​​14 m2. How she did it - read on. How it all started

Like many novice summer residents, we started construction with a bath. We also ordered an inexpensive building shed along with the bathhouse. But as practice later showed, it was done badly: the roof was leaking, water was pouring down the walls and floor, as a result, all the interior decoration in the spring was covered with terry mold.

Of course, it is problematic to build with such a barn, and we ordered the construction of a larger change house and more comfortable. As a result, we got a 2.4 * 6 structure on concrete pillars with a pitched roof. Yes, it is expensive - but what can you do - you must constantly be present at the site so that nothing is stolen!

I really wanted coziness and comfort. I wanted to separate the sleeping place from the door, and be sure to make a kitchen corner. I had to count on 3-4 guests: my person; husband; younger son; and for the eldest son, a folding bed, as it is rare.

What have we done

Old kitchen furniture, which my mother gave me to me for more than fifteen years. Here we found a use for it, as it has been gathering dust in the barn for the last five years.

Her appearance was, of course, sad and depressing, but it doesn't matter - I also remade her for myself.

So what we did:

• insulated the walls with 10 cm mineral wool;
• insulated the ceilings and the floor with mineral wool, but already 15 cm;
• sheathed all OSB;
• the cheapest linoleum from Leroy was laid in the kitchen-living room;
• built a partition for the bedroom;
• glued the tiles in the corner with the gas stove.

As in any home, we have a bathroom, but of course I say this with humor. We actually hung up the curtains to rinse off at the end of the day, and there was a large 60 L Leroy bucket as a pallet. In the daytime I attach it to the wall with a magnetic bracelet, connect the curtain — it looks like an ordinary curtain.

And, of course, a place to eat, in simple terms - a dining room. As a dining table - an old cabinet, legs and the remaining piece of the table top. Well, actually, all the comfort in a small area!
