I treat petunia with super-feeding 2 times a summer and it blooms like mad. I share the tool
Fiery fireworks, fellow flower growers, lovers of petunias gramophones and everything, everything, everything!
Do you want to grow a gorgeous petunia so that it blooms with a carpet, and not sickly and scattered? Make 2 dressings over the summer with a special solution, and you will see how many buds appear on the plant. In the article you will learn which product to use, how to dilute it correctly and, most importantly, when and how to apply.
From the author: I really love petunias. They decorate my summer cottage every year. And every year I learn new nuances of growing a beautiful flower. Top dressing, which I am writing about here, turned my ideas about the possibilities of petunias and top dressing. I call her to myself "Blossom Blaster" and... it is fully justified!
For lush and explosive flowering, petunias (as well as for all ornamental flowering plants) are needed for the leading trace element: phosphorus and potassium. By the way, they also strengthen the root system, which is important for the health of the bush as a whole, for resistance to the vicissitudes of summer weather. What can we, comrades, only benefit from when growing petunias on the street.
I'm sure the agrochemical industry in Russia has not come up with anything better to trigger a massive bloom than affordable potassium monophosphate. Just look at the composition: as much as 50% phosphorus, successfully supplemented with 33% nitrogen. Together - the result is bombastic!
I feed my petunias with potassium monophosphate twice a season:
First feeding - at the start of flowering in June. Gives the bushes a "magic kick". I have already treated my flowers, and you can do it today or tomorrow. Better late than never! Such a catch phrase perfectly reflects the correct approach to the introduction of potassium monophosphate to flowering plants.
The second - a month and a half after the first. Then the effect of monophosphate ends, and petunia grows a little due to natural reasons.
From the author: When the petunia grows, rejuvenating pruning can be done. A haircut (light or not) will return a decorative look to the bush, and your flowers will delight until autumn
ANDideal conditions for feeding:
- There is no direct sun. Otherwise, the water on the leaves will act as a lens and cause burns.
- No rain - important for plants planted in the open air. The sediment will wash away the nutrient solution before it has time to act.
I choose a cloudy day for feeding petunias with potassium monophosphate. If the weather forecast promises to be constantly hot, then I just wait until the sun sets. And somewhere at 22-00 I start to work. By morning, the drops dry out, and the plants are happy.
And now - to the recipe.
This year I conducted an experiment: I put a "folk ingredient" - fish bones - on the bottom of a box with petunias. Soon an article will be released on my channel that will show what happened. I will say in advance that the result... surprised! Subscribe at the bottom of the article so as not to miss the experiment report
- I dissolve 10 g of potassium monophosphate in a small amount of warm water. This is a tablespoon to the top with a tiny slide. Stir thoroughly to dissolve the crystals to the end.
- I pour it into 10 liters of water.
- I add a tablespoon of "Green Soap", which acts as an adhesive: prevents the product from rolling off the leaves before the composition works.
- I spray.
- After 10-14 days, I enjoy a pretty bloom. Congratulations, you are great))
