Garden furniture with gabion elements: a selection of creative solutions

Gabion is a military development. Initially, gabions, and these are baskets stuffed with stones, were intended to protect people from bullets and shrapnel. The invention is not peaceful, but life-saving. A little later, builders became interested in gabions, but already metal ones, who fortified dangerous slopes and river banks with these structures. Well, already in our time it came to landscape design and garden furniture, where containers filled with stones began to serve beauty and comfort. For example, you need to protect the area in front of the house from parking other people's vehicles: a bench with a weighty support will block the path of any car. And you can't move such a mass with your hands, even with a strong desire!

Well, such a shop, which can be safely dubbed a fence with a seat, is capable of stopping even a car that has driven off the road. The problem in Russia is urgent: in many cottage villages, playgrounds are located close to the carriageway, which causes some concern. A heavy bench can be a good defense. It's not in vain that this is an invention of the military!
