I brought an old sideboard from my grandmother's house and made a vintage handsome out of it - now decorates the apartment

Recently, furniture restoration is gaining in popularity. Firstly, it allows you to realize original creative ideas, test your own abilities, and secondly, create a unique interior decoration with your own hands.

The owner of this buffet brought it from her grandmother's house to her city apartment, she immediately decided to change the design of the old furniture, adapting it to the design of her home.

The originally plain brown sideboard looked too simple and tired of life.

This is not surprising, because he is several decades old. By the way, in the apartment there was a great place for the buffet in the living room.

The woman cleaned all surfaces from dirt and dust. Then, to create the effect of antiquity, I applied white paint in some places. After that, the entire surface of the furniture was covered with aqua paint.

The back wall was decorated with multi-colored mosaics, and the wall behind the glass was supplemented with a panel depicting various ornaments.

The old handles on the doors are quite well preserved, so the girl decided to leave them, they go well with the new shade of the sideboard.

A real decoration is the multi-colored mosaic; there used to be a mirror in this place.

The repainted furniture looks quite interesting, the vintage handsome man has become a real decoration of the apartment. Everyone who sees this model for the first time is surprised that the girl changed the design of the furniture without assistance.

The hostess herself did not expect that such an unusual and beautiful buffet would turn out.

This example proves once again that nothing is impossible. Everyone can create interesting items from old furniture with their own hands. Such alteration does not require large financial and labor costs.

In my opinion, a monochromatic shade without the effect of antiquity would look much better. At least one side wall, which is visible to everyone, also needed to be repainted.

The final result inspired the girl to remake the old furniture, which is located in the country. We will wait for new converted copies. I think there will be something to see.
