Made an armature bender from scrap metal without welding
For knitting reinforcement cages for door and window openings, armopoyas - it is necessary to bend the frames from 6 mm reinforcement:
In the city, I found only offers of an armature bender at a price 6 thous. rub. An inexpensive armature bender can be purchased here:
But it's delivery time. And he, as always, is not. I forgot to purchase in advance. I decided to make a simple armature bender from the metal that was available in my stocks. But the situation was complicated by the fact that there is no welding.
I took this version of the armature bender as a basis: https://youtu.be/6P3l0Z-vE2g
Instead of a welded loop, I decided to fasten a bolt to the moving part:
I cut the corner with a grinder in shape, as shown in the first photo, I drilled a hole. The bolt was screwed to the 6 mm laminated plywood and the second part of the corner (stop) was screwed to it. Washers clamp the plywood on both sides. So that they do not turn and do not wash the plywood - fixed them with a self-tapping screw. I screwed the plywood to the table with self-tapping screws. I cut the edges of the nuts with a grinder. The place of friction was lubricated with oil.
To prevent the handle from sagging, I made a roller from two corners and glue-foam covers. I screwed on a handle from a used pipe of some kind of frame.
I made marks on the handle to fix the lengths of the sides of the frame. In time, I make the frame for the armopoyas frame in 20-30 seconds. Process video:
In 1.5 hours I made 100 pieces. framework. Reinforcement bends easily from 6 mm. The handle could not have been screwed on. For 10-14 mm reinforcement, this armature bender is rather weak. But there are few bends from such a thickness of reinforcement. I'll do it with a pipe. I will fix the armature on the same table between two thick self-tapping screws (“wood grouses”).
