Aerated concrete house with access to the garage and a hip roof: photo review

How it all started
"I was not disappointed in gas blocks, the house is warm," wrote a member of our portal with the nickname Alex Volkov, having overwintered in the newly built house. He started the construction with a land plot and saved up money, and everything went like clockwork. First, I studied the information on construction forums, then I took a standard project and redid it for my own and wives' wishes: dressing room, rooms isolated from the living room and kitchen area, internal exit to garage. Used FBS blocks were offered very cheaply - the basement had to be made.
“After receiving a number of criticisms on the forum about my layout, but considering them unreasonable, I decided to do as I saw fit,” Alex wrote.
What was the principle of construction work
What he saw fit and did:
- I asked a friend of the designer to make a working project - then it greatly helped in the calculation of materials, and it was possible to take into account all the nuances, in general, the project is a thing!
- He made the foundation of the house (prefabricated, the laying of blocks was stopped at the corners of the adjoining to the garage).
- Cast the foundation of the garage (pile-tape).
- In the summer kitchen (in the back of the garage) I drilled a well: for irrigation, baths, etc., as well as central water supply and sewerage pipes run along the site.
- Raised the garage wall, pouring 30 cm of concrete, so that the masonry line at the house and garage was common.
- I have folded the walls from gas blocks.
- I assembled the hip roof according to the project, its height was planned to be 1.8 meters, on the spot it was raised to 2.5 m in order to increase the angles of the bevels. The roof of the garage was made parallel to the roof of the house.
House description
The roof is metal, the cornices are hemmed with a professional sheet in color.
Heating - gas boiler, in the bedrooms and living room, where there is laminate flooring, radiators, in other rooms there is a warm floor under the tiles.
The house turned out to be comfortable and warm: Alex believes that a good foundation, technology reinforcement and thin seams are extremely important for such a structure. And the most important thing is to prevent cold bridges in the lintels and armored belts!
