Brazier from an old car drive
For several years, I had a couple of old and rusty car wheels lying around in my summer cottage garage. For a long time I could not find a use for them until one of my acquaintances gave me an interesting idea - to build a brazier.
I liked the idea, though I had to spend more than a week on the implementation of this homemade product. I spent two or three hours a day and also had to spend a little financially.
To begin with, I had to thoroughly wash this drum with the help of special detergents, since its appearance left much to be desired.
After cleaning, it was necessary to cut off the lateral outer part of the disk to make a depression. For this, of course, I used an ordinary grinder.
Next, it was necessary to clean out the sharp points of the cut using the same grinder. Also, with the help of a grinding attachment, I completely cleaned the entire disc in order to paint it with a special fire-resistant black paint.
From a steel sheet 3 mm thick, I cut out the future round bottom of the barbecue and then welded it elementarily to the inner diameter of the disc.
On the sides of the drum, using a drill, I made 14 holes along the entire diameter so that the coals would burn out faster in the future. There was little left to do, it was necessary to purchase a round grill of the appropriate diameter and install it on top.
Our brazier is ready, it only remained to figure out how to install it on the ground, and for this it was required to weld a homemade stand in the form of a tripod, which I made from a regular profile pipe.
