How to install outdoor blinds
With outdoor blinds, you can shade a family home and an apartment in an apartment building. Blinds are popular because you tilt them as you need to control the amount of light in the room. In addition, it reflects rays in front of the window, and therefore perfectly cools the interior - up to 10 degrees in summer. The installation method depends on what the condition of the house allows.
You are building a house from scratch: hide the blinds under the plaster
If you are planning to build outdoor blinds for a new building, consider this in the design. Thanks to this, you can fit the blinds into a box, which can then be hidden under the facade so as not to disturb the appearance of the house.
To avoid additional modifications or costs upon completion of construction:
Provide power to the blinds if you want to operate them with a motor.
Select with the installation company the control method and possible connection to the smart system of the whole house.
Have the experts remember the place where the blinds should be installed so that they do not encounter a lack of space or unusual cladding when installing them.
Use a cover
If you are planning a partial renovation of your home, during which you will not interfere with the plaster, choose an installation under the cover. It is installed on a window frame and the retractable blinds package is completely hidden underneath. A small drawback of the cover is that it deprives you of some of the view from the window. From the inside, you will always see a piece of overlay or a package of retracted blinds.
Install blinds on the facade
You can also install outdoor blinds on a finished home where outdoor shading was not planned at all. You install the entire blind system on the finished façade from the front, including the fasteners and the package cover. Thanks to the suspension of the entire system, the blinds will not block your vision from the window unnecessarily.
