The home of this couple is a small two-room apartment. To make it functional and at the same time comfortable, the owners turned to a family friend, a designer.
After evaluating all the available data, he advised to decorate the room in the Scandinavian style.
The signs of this style are restraint, the absence of a large amount of bulky furniture, natural materials for decoration. The dominant color is white, light tones of gray, sand, blue are allowed.
It is these shades that prevail in the kitchen - beige walls, light laminate, white ceiling. The sleek backsplash matches the color of the countertop and walls.
The furniture set is, of course, white and very roomy. It occupies two walls and consists of many wall and floor cabinets, even an extractor hood is built into one of them. All kitchen utensils can be hidden in this kit, which is consistent with the style rules.
The kitchen has a peculiarity - an irregular shape, there is a three-leafed window similar to a bay window. Light curtains on it serve only a decorative function - again in accordance with the requirements of the style.
White color, as a symbol of purity, continues in the dining area, there are few decorative attributes, and they are mainly made of wood. Loft-style lampshade falls out of the image a little.
The Scandinavian-style sleeping room is designed very laconically, nothing more. This bedroom has sleek light walls, a bed, and some decorative accessories on open shelves.
A distinctive feature of the Scandinavian style is the absence of cabinets. Things are stored in a separate place - in the dressing room or in the built-in wardrobe. Therefore, the living room is furnished with only small items and is also decorated with open shelves made of wood or imitation materials.
Bathroom decoration deviates a little from the rules, which suggest a white and blue scale. The walls are decorated with beige marbled tiles and decorated with wooden shelves, the plumbing is traditionally white.
