This intricate home with triangular windows, balconies, bay windows and verandas on either side is based on a design found at FORUMHOUSE. A member of our portal with the nickname Sweetie and her husband asked a professional architect to redo the project a little. Our heroes themselves supervised the construction site, spending half a day at the facility.

House characteristics

The total area of the house with verandas and a balcony is 193 sq. m, without them - 165 sq. m. Veranda is a fundamental moment, even life in the old house showed that the family spends more time there than in the house.

The foundation is a shallow tape, the walls are lined with gas silicate blocks and finished with facing bricks. The plinth is finished in gray-green sandstone - the color is in harmony with the color of the cladding and the soft green roof.

The house has large windows, both doors - both the entrance and the kitchen - are enlarged compared to the project. There is no dining table in the kitchen: the large kitchen is separated from the living room only visually, by a large arch. The owners decided that they would use the table in the living room every day, and it turned out to be convenient.

A light welded spiral staircase leads to a spacious attic - not even an attic, but a full-fledged third floor with niches for storing various useful items in the household. The house is heated with gas and, optionally, a fireplace.

How long did it take to build?

It took a year and eight months to build from scratch to the "can live" stage. Sweetie says that the main thing is to throw all your efforts and resources to complete the project as quickly as possible; it is worth slowing down and the drive will be lost, the process will become sluggish.

The house was commissioned several years ago; now the owners are absolutely satisfied and happy. The house is comfortable from the attic to the built-in bench on the entrance veranda - you really want to live in this!
