Why flowers in the garden do not always want to bloom: the lily family did not make friends
Flowers are the decoration of any garden. Every florist knows that they require special care. Unsuccessful planting site, improper watering, unsuitable soil - and the plant may not bloom. This is what I partially encountered.
The lily family did not make friends
In the garden, I decided to plant a corner with varieties of the lily family. I read on the Internet that bulbous plants are not pollinated, so they easily coexist. But I ran into another problem. I planted a low-growing daylily next to the lilies and the tall daylily. I was promised bright yellow flowers, but they never appeared. I see a mistake in the fact that the plant was in the shade of tall peduncles. An urgent transplant is required in the fall. Result: lilies and tall daylilies bloom.
What happened to the lovely hydrangea
The hosts are a special pride. They grow beautifully and bloom with delicate blue aristocratic inflorescences. Although they are bred more because of the luxurious leaves with interesting transitions.
Behind the host, I planted a bush of tall white hydrangea. In the first year of planting, lush baskets of flowers were pleasing to the eye. There are no flowers or stems this year. No watering helped. The reason, apparently, in the wrong landing site. Result: a bush about 10 centimeters high.
Flowers in my garden
Fortunately, failures do not happen with all plants. My small garden is full of flowers. Snow-white balls of perennial chrysanthemum bloom profusely, conquering new territories every year by self-seeding.
Perennial rudbeckia and pansies are unpretentious. Grow rapidly and bloom constantly. It is only necessary to remove dried leaves and flowers in time for aesthetics.
The garden is decorated with flowering carpets of petunias and lush bushes of terry dahlias.
Flowers adorn my garden with a riot of colors and an abundance of greenery, and difficulties only cause even more interest in floriculture.
