In the village you have to think on the go. Savvy helps
There are no convenience stores here, and the husband is considered a joke for an hour.
Two points. Dismantling the walls
I am preparing the house for renovation, and seemingly simple planned actions lead to others - unplanned ones. He demolished the remnants of the walls of the extension, on which the wiring was.
There was a socket and a light bulb plugged in at the junction box, I needed to reconnect the socket, but inside the building, as the rainy season begins.
It was necessary to find on the opposite wall a place where the wiring dives through the wall, cut off a piece of the rod and hammered it through the wall with a hammer. Eventually got the exact place, it remains to tuck the socket wire into the hole and pull out the incoming wire. Now the connection is inside, and not on the street, however, there is an outlet there, but it's not scary, leaving everything de-energize.
Hammer repair
During the work, the handle broke, it doesn't matter because there are cut trees, I cut a branch for the handle, but when I turned it over, it turned out to be cracked. It could have been done temporarily with it, but from experience I know that it will remain for a long time.
And then I come across an old, broken chair, this is what I need, I cut off the leg. True, it is wide, there is a grinder and a lying petal disk, I start to adjust. And if not, then I would have fitted it with a chisel, or even with a knife, not a problem.
Such moments are constantly in the village, everything needs to be solved on the fly, and after work, you can safely plan and purchase what you need in the store.
