Closely in the kitchen of a rented apartment: made of pipes and plywood a shelf for 3 large household appliances
Rented apartments are not always comfortable. You have to make repairs yourself, arrange a general cleaning, buy missing furniture and household appliances.
This apartment, which I rented for 10,000 rubles, has a small kitchenette. Its size is 4 sq. m. The kitchen floor is occupied by a refrigerator and a small table. On the other side there is a kitchen unit, an electric oven. Electric furnace "Dream" stands on an old (still Soviet times) pedestal.
When I brought the missing household appliances for a comfortable stay: a microwave oven, a kettle, a multicooker, there was no place for them.
I began to think how to fit everything in this small space. It makes no sense to order furniture (rented apartment). I decided to make a shelf between the stove and the lower cabinet. Not a simple shelf, but with long legs.
On the balcony I found an old piece of plywood, 1 cm thick. I didn't even have to cut it off, everything fit in size. I just screwed a metal corner to the plywood so that inadvertently the microwave would hold on to it. Then I thought that without it it would be normal.
I painted everything with radiator paint. It dries quickly and is odorless.
I bought a chrome pipe. Showcases and racks of various shapes are usually made of such pipes.
It is sold for 3 meters in furniture fittings departments. There they neatly cut it to me into equal 4 parts. The height of the pipes is 60 cm.
In addition to pipes, I also bought holders (8 pieces). I screwed them onto each tube (top and bottom).
Where the top of the shelf is, I screwed the plywood onto the self-tapping screws with a screwdriver.
This is how the design looks upside down:
Now you need to screw the bottom of the shelf to the cabinet. I hope the owners of the apartment will not mind.
Here you cannot crawl with a screwdriver, so you have to work manually.
I screwed on the shelf, this is how it looks. The height would be enough to make a 2-tiered shelf. But that's enough for me.
It was enough to place the microwave on top and bottom of the multicooker with a kettle. There is now more space in the kitchen. It became somehow more convenient.
Thanks for attention. I hope the idea was helpful. Like it - I will be grateful!
