A beautiful example of a pallet fence. Costs from 125 rubles / meter

In this article Country house made of pallets for 50 thousand rubles an example was shown of a small country house, the frame of which was built from pallets - for temporary (and maybe permanent) residence in the warm season.

Used pallets are often free building material that remains after construction. Or with a small cost from 100 rubles, if you buy them used:

Of course, it is not always advisable to specifically search and buy them. It makes sense when you get them for free or for a symbolic price. For example, a base in a neighboring village gives back partially broken pallets - if only they were taken out. And they can be restored from other defective pallets.

Some of the neighbors who built the house still have pallets. Only from aerated concrete are not suitable. They have a size of 1x0.7 m. Moreover, 0.7 m is the height (length of the board). The pallets can be disassembled and used for fencing. Or you can not disassemble:

But the kind of just such a fence is not for everybody. It is still clear that these are pallets, although they are painted with wood impregnation.

Perhaps the best option would be this one: do not disassemble the pallets to the end, but separate one block of the base, cut (sharpen) the top of the boards and use it as a filler for the spans between the posts:

Agree, the view of this option is much more interesting and beautiful. In the photo, a bottom-up perspective is chosen and the fence looks high. Of course it is not. The height of such a fence made of standard pallets is 1.2 m. If the converted pallets are installed on the base or raised above the ground, then the height can be increased to 1.4 m.

This option is suitable for summer cottages (fencing between neighbors) or for fencing pens for birds or other animals. But you need rooted or concreted pillars, otherwise the fence may collapse. And they need to be mounted under the total size of 2-3 pallets:

It is better to mount poles across a distance 2.4 m (dimension not along the axis of the post, but from edge to edge) - three pallets will fit. The pallets in the fence are pulled together with 92 mm long self-tapping screws. Not black - they are fragile. If you purchased pallets at 100 rubles / piece, then the cost per 1 running meter will be RUB 125 plus the cost of the posts.

The Euro pallet differs from the Russian standard in that the boards in it are not of the same width: 100 and 145 mm. In the Russian standard, the boards are all of the same width of 100 mm.

Between the neighbors who are friendly towards each other, the height is optimal. The fence will not shade the beds, shrubs or trees, it is blown out (no wind load). There are two drawbacks: in one, the type of fence will be worse (back, not front side) and the tree must be regularly covered with impregnations.

To disassemble pallets into planks, you need a sledgehammer, a hammer and a nail puller. Because used pallets, the boards need to be cleaned. Grind with a sander. But the best way to handle it is by wire brushing on a grinder. Long, but it will be beautiful.

Staggered or single row mounting. Yes, these two examples of low-rise fences are not made of pallet boards, but fresh lumber. But the installation principle is the same.
